UPL Switches to WordPress
rbcp was finally able to convince me to migrate over to WordPress. even though i’ve been using it on many of my other sites already (have you seen my blog lately? eh?), i’ve been reluctant to use it on phonelosers.net because i liked the SMF message board integration method that we had been using previously to manage the site.
but the whole website going down every time our SMF database crashed (which, for some reason, seems to happen often) eventually got old. So now I’ve swicthed everything over. That means a lot of dead links and errors will be found, I imagine. Let us know about any errors you find by commenting on this post or on our message board.

Sure, blame it on me.
My only compliant is that the top logo doesn’t magically change anymore. :/
Yeah, that’s pretty weak. I have to tweak the code to get it to work right with WordPress. I’ll have that and the ImageBox back up eventually.
I fixed the randomizing top logo thanks to rbcp.
the code still doesn’t work with the imagebox for some reason, though.
anyone who makes me cool UPL logos to add to the top would be my best friend.
Yeah linear I was gonna change over to Wordpress with my own website the problem is, I have no clue how to integrate it into my site. If you could let me in on that or maybe gimme a hand i’d appreciate it. I’m not too keen on SMF shit anymore
i don’t have all that great of advice for you. luckily i didn’t have many news posts on my site before the switch, so i literrally just did a standard WP install, copy and pasted my news updates from SMF into new WP posts, and changed the date on the items.
